Idea is definitely workable. However, you still need to think carefully what is your target market segment, which class of people are you targeting? Why do people want to buy mini size food items? Is it a seat in restaurant or is it based on the fast-food takeaway concept. Anyhow, I do wish you all the best.

I believe it is a very doable idea. As you can see, our gadgets are getting smaller, and we are more health conscious nowadays. Eating small, means eat less but more variety.

Yes indeed, for small, little very tasty food premium prices can be asked. People are certainly willing to pay a little more if you can convince them of the fact that it's healthy and unique in the market. Certainly in the beginning, the uniqueness will be highly appreciated in the market.
btw: why don't you combine the food with tiny, little drinks? Fresh juice, which can be composed in the bar, in very tiny,little portions.

This idea will work in a big town with office building, Lunch time office workers will want to eat less and have variety. they can go for a mini burger and a mini sandwich too, it will help them to watch their waistline as well as their pockets.

Building on the idea of fresh juices in mini size, why not offer mini-plate of fruits or bowl of salad in the menu as well? Some health conscious ladies prefer salads or fruits over carbohydrate meals. Or customers can choose these options as desserts or tea-break.
If you have noticed, Subway is very successful with it's customisable bread-and-fillings franchise concept. Why not give it a twist and offer your burgers and/or sandwiches with something healthy as well, such as whole-meal bread etc sandwhich style, something close to finger-food-and-bite-sized for ladies and they can pick a couple of flavor selections (example 1 tuna-cheese + 1 tomato-salmon)?

Yes, this is indeed a good idea. If you focus on small food, then the selling stand could be made mobile in the beginning what meanst that fixed costs for the business are reduced significanlty for the start up phase.
Having standardized the idea with all the concept can then be transfered to franchise business. This is smth unique that does not exist much in the market. Keep it up!

It,s a very good idea .You would have to really sit down hard and do your costings ,as your suppliers would have to produce your products mini size, would it be cost effect for them.Getting over that, this type of business would work a treat with Mothers and fathers of young children as its makes it their special place.

Great idea and I would like to see this get to the next phase of implementation. People are mentioning problems of manufacturers having to cater for the small size but I don't see this as a problem as there are already many manufacturers making small size products in the beverage sector, and I'm sure I've seen small rolls at delis. If you look at nudie juice, they would be a perfect beverage partner.

People are very trendy and weight conscious out here . We could have people from reality shows like The Hills or like shows go to "Mini Burger" and get free marketing worldwide.

Interesting idea but if you noticed in Singapore,most of the fast food outlets are already shrinking their snacks and burgers!

It is a good idea for people who like to sample different foods. You could make it buffet style, so people can sample a variety of foods from around the world.
Don't forget Venue!
I think Venue can make or break this idea, as in most F&B. It sounds great to me, and with a good venue where you can capture the right crowd, it will be tremendous. You will need a good venue because what you are selling sounds like CONVENIENCE. Unlike you plan to position yourself as a Class Act, like Subway, a possible option. Cheers!

A franchise burger stall

This is a great idea, doable.
To start a franchise stall / restaurant would require a lot of investment money.
To make is franchise-able why not we create a starter pack to start-up this burger-stall just about anywhere. With the cost of not more than a few thousand ($x,xxx) anyone can start a burger stall just about anywhere. Complete with required gadgets (like oven, fridge), workers attire, self assembled counter, instructions, rules and guidelines and the burger it self (in a frozen pack).
Next step would be a burger vending machine. And frozen burgers packed and exported to the world.
So that, even young entrepreneur looking for the necessary experience in franchising can start-up his own business easily someday.

i remember i've saw one tv traveling programme that introduced a restaurant that have all sort of mini burgers, sandwiches and everything mini etc. I cant remember which country it was and which tv programme but definitely it is already out there. but this is a still good idea.
mini size = bigger demands
if u think this concept will be acceptable in Singapore lifestyle...then go for it,,,and in my opinion, havin a good pricing strategy becomes the most important issue for this "mini size " thing...

Great Idea
This is a great idea. With the current lifestyle of our generation now, it would be beneficial for busy people and health conscious ones. I suggest that there'll be combo choices where customers can mix and match orders in one combo or order. Like for example, combo A: burger, drink & dessert and combo B: 2 burgers & a drink. Price would just stay the same.
This will give customers an impression that they have the power to choose what they want and what would satisfy their cravings without setting aside the issue of affordability.
Good for someone who likes toe eat delicious food but on a diet
I think this idea is brilliant.
It is suitable for everybody who like to eat delicious food but afraid to gain weight. Especially something "fatty" or "unhealthy but delicious gourmet". I have an experience with this kind of food. I like to eat pastry very much, but if i ate too much it will effect my cholesterol level...so it is good if there is a bakery or stall that sell that mini-size food
It Works in Indonesia
Hi.. just want to add.. the idea works in Indonesia. It started from a small stall at small town called Bogor, very booming and continue by other stall at malls and shopping centre until now. Therefore, i believe it will work also at other place. the key are the size itself which make it unique and also the taste (smaller size is more tasty than the bigger ones).
Appetite?
I do certainly agree on better mini sized food. But will it affect the appetite of consumer? Sometimes, when the food is cold or not unique enough(which majority will consider before consuming) will they eat it?
A mini sized burger.... looks like a gummy candy. Looks delicious but for when it comes to elderly people, they will think twice.

It’s a very smart idea not only for a retail store but it makes great sense for catering and wholesale opportunities as well.
whatever is voted on it has to be able to be done anywhere in the world and has to be able to be reproduced over and over again this will give us the ability to capture a large market and structure a strong business plan and lead to training and marketing concepts being simple and strategic.

I think this idea is realy great. Some people always want to eat many variety food in one time. But they must faced by the portion of each meal, but this idea can solved that problem, and we can take this mini size food as a snack with healthy nutritions
